2003 – “Under Milk Wood” by Dylan Thomas

Posted on: May 16, 2003

Dylan Thomas’s text is a dreamlike, poetic portrayal of small-town life in Wales, its chief theme being the pervasive power of love in the manifold circumstances of life. There is no plot in the strict sense, but a number of episodes loosely connected; the unifying elements – apart from the theme of love – is provided by an anonymous narrator and recurrent sequences of music.
